Pen Test Service

Description

Test your self-cleaning product simply by sending it to us for assessment of its activity.

The test involves: Pre-selection of the most suitable of our inks/pens.  Application of the ink using the pen (or free ink in the case of uneven materials) on the surface of your material.  Irradiation of the ink-coated surface with 2 x 15 W UVA tubes and recording of the colour change using a digital image recording device.  Determination of the TTB (time to bleach/change colour) by extraction and plotting of the colour over time, to give a value that characterises the self-cleaning activity of the tested material/surface.

The test is based on the INTEC programme.
